Thanksgiving Celebration

Today I went to a Thanksgiving Celebration at Z’s preschool. His class sang songs and ate cornbread, pumpkin ice cream, cookies and chicken noodle soup. The kids dressed up – Z had on an Indian headband and a necklace with beads and feathers. During the week they had decorated their shirts and decked out an entire playroom with Indian artifacts – teepee, stones to grind corn, etc. They made their own butter and got to use it on their cornbread. They chopped the veggies that were in the soup. Z seemed to have a great time. D went there a couple hours early to help the teachers setup. I showed up for a late lunch and got to hang out and eat.
