Blog Overhaul

Over the last week I’ve been working on cleaning up my online content.  I run several websites, several blogs, several Facebook pages, several Twitter accounts, etc.  I decided to convert my blog (this blog) into a main site about me and all of my projects.  It wasn’t much of a leap.  This has been my blog for a very long time so I have posts about all facets of my life going back years.  I created pages to talk about the free software I have written and the entrepreneurial efforts I’ve been a part of.  I’m not sure that anyone cares other than me but for now I’m happy because I finally have a site to tie it all together.

Blog Consolidation

I had too many blogs. Now I have consolidated them down to 2 wordpress blogs. I have this blog which is the consolidation of (my personal blog, my Smallalk news blog and my entertainment blog). I still have my colic business blog (which I haven’t posted to in a while). Hopefully this consolidation will make my life easier. It does have 1 obvious advantage. Now I can blog in 1 place only and backup 1 place only for everything other than my colic business.

I hope this consolidation doesn’t confuse anyone too much. Please keep coming back and reading!

Long Time No Post

Wow, it has been a very long time since I posted last. Things have happened but I just haven’t had time to post anything. Here are some of the things that have happened since my last post:

-I went on a business trip for my company to a customer site in Paris, France
-We recently celebrated Father’s day
-My younger son had his 5th birthday
-I’ve been working like mad
-I am considering taking on a new business idea with a couple partners (they had the idea)
-Our deck was finally washed and re-stained
-My computer monitor broke and I got a new one (bigger and better)

I will do my best to post about each of these things over the next day or two. Sorry I’ve been so bad lately about posting.

Blog Reader

I got a comment on my blog yesterday from someone who had questions about the sit/stand desk that I had purchased a while back. This was the main reason I blogged about it. When I went looking for testimonials before buying my desk I only found 1 guy with a blog who already had one. I emailed him and asked him some questions about it. Then I bought it and blogged about it so someone might find me and … ta da someone did. I gave a good endorsement of the sit/stand desk.

Happy New Year!

This has been a very good year for me and my family so I want to close it out with a list of some things I am thankful for:

  • Family
  • Great Friends
  • Health
  • The boys survived being 5 & 4 yrs old (wasn’t sure they would)
  • I have a great job
  • We have a wonderful, and safe house to live in

Odds are if you are reading this blog you are either family or friend. Thank you for helping make 2007 a great year for us!

I hope you also had a great year and wish you the best for 2008.

Happy New Year!
